MoneyGuy™ (“we”, “us”) explains in this policy what we collect, why, and how it’s handled.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (encrypted).
- Financial data: transactions, account balances, assets, liabilities, and receipts you upload or connect — via CSV import or by connecting a bank account through Basiq, our bank-connection provider.
- Usage data: which features you use and basic funnel events (signup, first import) — never transaction amounts, vendor names, or balances.
- Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
- Support enquiries: anything you tell us via the contact form.
Why we collect it
To provide the budgeting, wealth-tracking, and AI-chat features you’ve signed up for, to keep the product secure, and to understand which features are useful so we can improve them.
What we don’t do
- We never sell your data.
- We don’t share your financial data with third parties except Basiq (bank connections) and Stripe (payments), both bound by their own security obligations.
- MoneyGuy doesn’t provide financial, legal, or tax advice.
Your rights
Request a copy of your data or delete your account anytime via support@moneyguy.com.au. Deleting your account removes your transactions, connected bank data, and usage history.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-up and sign-in are protected against automated abuse.
